One of the quickest ways to funnel targeted traffic to your website is through Google AdWords. If you aren’t familiar with AdWords, it’s a pay-per-click (PPC) traffic system that allows you bid on certain keywords that might be relevant to your business. So for example if you were a plumber in Brighton and someone googled “plumber Brighton” you would want to get your business in front of that person, because they are actively looking for the services that you offer. With AdWords you can get your business in front of these customers and you pay google if they click through to their website. 

Most businesses will already be familiar with AdWords and to be fair, most people reading this article will have already dipped their feet into an AdWords campaign. We often hear that AdWords is “too expensive” because most people that set up a campaign have no experience in running them, or get asked how to optimize the campaigns performance. Because most AdWords users don’t know how to improve performance, they don’t reduce their cost-per-click (CPC), or increase their cost-per-lead/number of leads and end up missing out on boosting their ROI and growing their profit.
